4 May 1919 : History in Motion

Conjointly organized by the Faculty of Translation and Interpretation (FTI-EII) and the School of Human and Social Sciences (ESHS) of the Université de Mons (UMONS) and the East Asian Studies research centre (EASt) of the Université libre de Bruxelles (ULB), this international conference will take place at the Université de Mons, Belgium, from May 2 to May 4, 2019. Commemorating the hundredth anniversary of the so-called “May Fourth Movement”, this large-scale scientific event will gather researchers in humanities and social sciences to give a political, social and cultural look at this turning point in the history of modern China.
