Medical Entrance Examination
Since the 2023-2024 academic year, a competitive entrance examination has been organised.
For further information on the entrance examination for medicine, visit the Faculty of Medicine, Pharmacy and Biomedical Sciences website and the Mes études website.
You can register for this examination here.
There are a number of exemptions from the examination, which you can consult here.
You can now apply to register at UMONS by following the procedure in the “1st cycle Bachelor” tabs.
However, to submit your application, in addition to the documents listed in the “1st cycle Bachelor” tabs, you must be in possession of a certificate of admission to the medical entrance examination.
Notice : Students who are not financeable (from an academic aspect) as defined in article 5 of the decree of 11 April 2014 (Décret adaptant le financement des établissements d’enseignement supérieur à la nouvelle organisation des études) must submit an application for “non-financeable students”.
Students who are not admitted to the medical entrance examination will be able to register on another course.
For non-EU students:
Non-EU students who were not admitted to the medical entrance examination AND who chose UMONS as their establishment when registering for the examination may only apply for admission to the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy (for the Bachelor of Biomedical Sciences or the Bachelor of Pharmaceutical Sciences).
They must go in person (ID will be checked) to the Registration Office in Mons during their opening hours, no later than Friday 12th September 2025, with proof of registration for the competitive entrance examination and the results.
They will be given the admissions form to complete and return immediately.
Students must ensure that they meet the academic criteria and provide a complete application (documents and supporting evidence) or they will be refused.
Students must also pay the €200 application fee by credit card on the same day (cheques, bank transfers and cash are not accepted).
Students will receive the decision by e-mail, sent to the address given on the application form.
