Description
The study of Education examines school and out-of-school learning environments and their impact on the development of individuals and society.
The Master’s degree in Education trains students to design innovative projects, to improve their practices and their thinking in different fields of education and training.
Students also develop skills to conduct research in the field of education and provides the necessary foundations for a career in research through a rigorous scientific approach.
The Social Action specialist focus aims to develop skills related to new pedagogies and established practices that enable the questioning and implementation of educational practices that take into account the difficulties that schools, families and, more broadly, young people are currently facing: dropping out of school, violence, bullying, etc.
It presents various theoretical and practical references relating to the implementation of co-education networks (school-family-community) and social intervention (e.g. mediators) to promote social and educational inclusion.
The programme favours participatory research methods, multidisciplinary work, intervention practices, and the blending of academic, professional and experiential knowledge in order to design and/or implement pedagogical projects adapted to local institutions and realities.
The research activities of this focus are directly linked to the various research and intervention projects on co-education and social and school inclusion, which support the work of professional partners, and which are implemented in local areas.
