The 2025 edition of the Université des Enfants à Madagascar (UDEMA) has just taken place in Tuléar. Between conferences, screenings and scientific activities, nearly 300 people, including over 200 children, were introduced to science in a fun and participative way. And the adventure is just beginning for this project, which aims to be ambitious and sustainable in Madagascar.

The higher representatives of the member universities of the EUNICE Alliance have approved the composition of the expert panel that will advise the European University consortium on the achievement of its objectives until 2027.

The General Assembly of EUNICE European University gathers in Belgium rectors, presidents, representatives of educational offerings, and students from the partner universities to analyze the progress of the creation of European joint degrees.

The latest EUNICE General Assembly, held on April 23 and 24 in Cottbus, Germany, at the Brandenbug University of Technology, paved the way for European innovation in education. The partners took advantage of the event to elect the new EUNICE President, who will succeed the UMONS Rector in November.

On Wednesday October 4, UMONS welcomed a delegation from the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières (UQTR). This was an opportunity for the two partners to discuss new high-level scientific cooperation projects in various common fields.

The aim of this second phase will be to prepare students for societal challenges and turn them into players in EUNICE, an Alliance that now brings together 10 universities.

The European University for Customised Education (EUNICE), of which UMONS is a member, has just been awarded funding of 14.4 million euros, ensuring the continuity of its activities until 2027. This is excellent news for the Alliance, which brings together 10 universities and 170,000 students and researchers.

This multidisciplinary MOOC is free of charge! It is the first co-created course between the seven universities of the EUNICE Alliance, among which is UMONS. It will be open until 31 May 2023.

On May 03, 2022, the AXA Research Fund, on the recommendation of its Scientific Board, decided to support the project of a Research Chair led by Professor Olivier Coulembier, F.R.S.- FNRS researcher at the University of Mons.

On 12th March, a delegation from Mons, accompanied by members of UMONS, went to Valenciennes to discuss the strengthening of collaborations between the two cities, as well as between the two local universities, for which solid partnerships already exist.
