The European University for Customised Education (EUNICE), of which UMONS is a member, has just been awarded funding of 14.4 million euros, ensuring the continuity of its activities until 2027. This is excellent news for the Alliance, which brings together 10 universities and 170,000 students and researchers.

The call for proposals for the C2W Come to Wallonia | Connect with Wallonia project, supported by UMONS and UNamur, offers experienced researchers an exceptional opportunity to develop new skills and competences by implementing a research project of excellence with a strong interdisciplinary orientation. The project has been awarded €4.5m of European funding (Marie Skłodowska Curie COFUND Action). The second call opens on 31st May 2023.

For the second edition of the list of the best scientists in materials science published by Research.com, 8 UMONS researchers stand out among the 114 Belgian researchers ranked. Professor Philippe Dubois, Rector of UMONS, occupies the first position of the national ranking!

For several years, UMONS has intensified its collaborations with foreign universities in 38 countries around the world through the joint production of doctoral theses. Currently, nearly 150 cotutelles are in progress.

This multidisciplinary MOOC is free of charge! It is the first co-created course between the seven universities of the EUNICE Alliance, among which is UMONS. It will be open until 31 May 2023.

On May 03, 2022, the AXA Research Fund, on the recommendation of its Scientific Board, decided to support the project of a Research Chair led by Professor Olivier Coulembier, F.R.S.- FNRS researcher at the University of Mons.

After several remote editions, the UMONS reorganized this Saturday, March 26 a first Open House in person on its sites and campuses in Mons. Under a beautiful sun, hundreds of high school students, accompanied by their parents, walked through the 4 sites where our Faculties and Schools as well as our general services were present. A success before our next JPO, scheduled for Saturday June 25, just before the summer vacations.

This Wednesday, March 16 was organized the 2nd UMONS Career Day, but the 1st to be held in person at the university! Numerous contacts were made between the fifty or so companies present and the 250 or so graduates and future graduates of UMONS.
