The creation of research units has allowed, on the one hand, associated teaching and research skills to be brought together, and, on the other hand, the units to focus on their research missions:

• Architecture and Society Unit “An approach that firmly places people at the centre of our concerns”
• Art and Techniques of Representation Unit “An approach to spaces and environments based on image and perception”
• Architectural Design Unit “An approach based on architectural projects”
• Town and Regional Planning Unit “An approach based on urban and regional planning”
• Science and Construction Techniques Unit “An approach integrating constructive and technological culture into architecture”

Without a doubt, one of the distinctive features of university environment is its ability to enrich the teaching provided through research. This is why the Faculty’s departments are responsible for ensuring consistency in the research they support. Our field also has a real role to play in providing services to society and, by extension, to the general public. It should be noted that these services to society regularly offer an opportunity to confront our students with the reality of the field. Partnerships with local authorities, for example, are organised as part of a win-win approach.
