AdHuCell

AdHuCell – Advanced Human Cell Culture for Health and Biosciences

AdHuCell is a platform dedicated to complex and innovative three-dimensional (3D) cell culture methods. It is the result of an active collaboration between the Institute for Research in Health Sciences and Technologies (IS) and the Institute for Research in Biosciences (IBS), bringing together specialized expertise in physiology, human pathologies, microsystems for life sciences, and biomaterials.

3D cultures allow for the replication of the complex architecture of organs and tissues, making them highly effective preclinical models for medical, pharmacological, and toxicological research.

The platform’s core expertise lies in the development of multidimensional cultures (3D and organoids) and their standardization using microsystems created through soft lithography. These microsystems enable the study of various pathologies by mimicking the physicochemical properties of the cellular microenvironment—such as flexibility, porosity, fibrillar structure, protein density, and microstructuring—using innovative bi- and three-dimensional biomaterials.
