The promoter’s role
PhD supervisor, PhD co-supervisor
A doctorate is a research subject, a promoter and funding.
Doctoral training is training for research and through research in which the promoter has a dual responsibility with the support of the support committee:
Pedagogical responsibility:
- At the time of registration, the thesis director accepts that the candidate be placed under his responsibility for his doctoral training Scientific responsibility:
- The thesis director undertakes to assume responsibility for the scientific direction of the research project. This second responsibility can be shared with a co-director.
But a promoter is more than that, he accompanies you throughout your project, helps you overcome obstacles, allows you to emancipate yourself as a researcher and finally opens the doors of his network to you!
