About the Faculty

Faculty of Engineering

Founded in Mons by two engineers, graduates of the Ecole Centrale Paris, the Faculty of Engineering (FPMs), also known as “Polytech Mons”, has been training engineers since 1837.

• Polytech Mons is one of the four faculties of applied sciences in the French Community of Belgium.
• 1000 engineering students (Bachelor’s, Master’s, PhD, continuing education)
• 250 academics, scientists, researchers, technicians and administrative staff
• Located in Mons and Charleroi

At the FPMs, it is possible to study for a Master’s degree in Engineering in one of the following six specialist fields:

• Architectural Engineering
• Chemical Engineering and Materials Science
• Electrical Engineering
• Computer Engineering and Management
• Mechanical Engineering
• Geology and Mining Engineering
