Professional Placement

Two to three months in a company

The FPMs has made the strategic choice to increase the duration of the compulsory placement to 8 or 12 weeks. This is an engineering placement which is carried out between the first and second year of the Master’s, and which allows the student to confront the requirements of professional life. Experiencing the life of an engineer on a daily basis, in a specific sector and function, forces the future graduates to consider their career path. As such, the placement really prepares the trainee for professional integration. Thanks to its developed training programmes, the involvement of its industrial contacts, and the strengthen of the links it has forged with its alumni association of engineers (AIMs), the Faculty of Engineering is the only faculty in the Wallonia-Brussels Federation to offer this training opportunity to all its students.
