Master’s Dissertation: Training for and through research

To finalise their engineering training, students must write a dissertation in the final year. This involves both on-the-job training and scientific research. It is often difficult to choose a subject to study, so students are encouraged to implement their personal creativity, using a rigorous scientific approach, to develop an innovative and effective solution. They can rely on the supervision of a teacher-researcher who is usually a member of a research team. The dissertation can also be carried out in collaboration with a company or a research centre in Belgium or abroad.
